Privacy policy

What data Tilelico processes, why it is needed, and what we never do with it.

Last updated: 7 September 2026

Summary

Tilelico can be tried without an account: the editor works, nothing is sent to our servers, and nothing is kept — neither by us nor in your browser. Closing the tab discards the work in progress.

With an account, your projects are stored on our servers so you can retrieve them on your devices. This may include the compact preview of an imported PDF page. Project data is never sold or used for advertising.

Data controller

The data controller is Quentin Varlet, an individual (personne physique). To ask a question or exercise your rights, contact contact@tilelico.com.

Data and purposes

Processing is limited to what the service needs.

  • Without an account, no project data is transmitted or kept. Only your tool preferences (snap step, partition thickness, theme) stay in your browser, on your device.
  • For accounts, email addresses, securely hashed passwords, and secure session tokens are used for authentication.
  • If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name and profile picture from Google to create and identify your Tilelico account. This information is used for no other purpose and is never shared with a third party. You can revoke this access at any time from your Google account security settings.
  • Synchronized projects contain geometry, flooring and layout settings so they can be saved and restored.
  • Source PDF files are processed in the browser. A compact raster preview of the chosen page is stored with the project and synchronized when cloud storage is used.
  • Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan status and transaction evidence are processed for billing. Payment-card data is entered directly with Stripe.
  • Contact and feedback messages contain the submitted content and an optional reply address.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or use your data for advertising. Plan content is used only to provide and restore the service.

Technical reports from the editor do not include project geometry unless you explicitly choose to provide it for diagnosis.

Retention

Account data and synchronized projects are kept while the account exists, then deleted after account deletion. Accounting records are retained for the applicable legal period. Contact messages are kept only as long as necessary to handle them.

Service providers

Technical providers support hosting, authentication, databases, secure payment and contact-message processing.

They act only on instructions and under contracts that govern data protection. A detailed list is available on request.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability where applicable.

Contact contact@tilelico.com to exercise these rights. You may also complain to the competent supervisory authority.

Cookies and local storage

Browser local storage keeps the current project and display preferences such as theme. These are not advertising cookies and remain on your device.

Strictly necessary cookies maintain signed-in sessions. No advertising tracker is used.
